Finding thoughts in my own mind can be a bit like fishing bare-handed. If I am in a hurry, distracted by other things and the innumerable demands of life, the thought just dashes through. I can't catch it and look at it, I can't deal with the reality of the idea and be made stronger (eat the fish). But I have to really sit there and be watching, patient and ready, to catch it, and even then it slips out of my hands half the time. I appreciate that you do some fishing in your own river, and then take the time to set it down somewhere.
